Uncertain Updates: May 2025
It’s been a busy month.
It started out with a flurry of writing and editing. I wrote about the recent passing of my mom. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend checking it out. The piece isn’t very long, but it was hard to get just right.
I’m really proud of it. When my mom passed, I was upset, but it also made me determined to make sure her death would mean something. Given the response the piece has gotten on Less Wrong and elsewhere, I think it has.
Not long after that I bumped by head and got a mild concussion, so unfortunately not much more writing has happened. The Chapter 2 rewrite remains about where it was a month ago: close, but still so far away.
I’m doing a lot better and recovering well from the concussion. If I stay on track, I should be just about back to normal by the end of next week. Hopefully by then I’ll be able to get back to writing, since I’d like to get the book done sometime soon.
